מיר ווינטשן אַלע לייענער אַ גוט געזונט און פֿרײַלעך נײַ יאָר ! We the editors of "Yidtzayt" and Yr 11 VCE students have been designing Yiddish New Year-Rosh Hashona greeting cards, which appear on the pages of this Rosh Hashona edition.
We have also been busy publicising "Yidtzayt" and we're reprinting some of the articles which appeared in the Australian Jewish News and the famed New York "Forverts" newspapers.
We have also received a few letters from teachers of Yiddish and await some from students as well, so get writing! |

אַ לערערין אין שול האָט אונדז אינטערוויאירט און האָט אָגעשריבן אַן אַרטיקל וועגן יידצײַט פֿאַר די "אויסראלישע יידישע נײַעס".

*** Following its launch at school in July, a teacher interviewed us about "Yidtzayt" and wrote and article which appeared in the "Australian Jewish News" on the 3rd of August 2007. We are reprinting the article here and a Yiddish translation on the right. |
